Name: Adrian Bloodan (Was Adrian Connor de Peterson)
Age: Looks to be 20 years.
Race: Vampire
Racial Information: (See Dictionary)
Personality: Adrian is the most humane of the Bloodans. He regrets killing his prey, and strives to take less blood but from multiple victims... Generally, this doesn't work. His vampire instincts always seem to take over.
He is full of compassion and hope. Generally, he is rather soft-spoken and quiet, but he will sometimes open up to people. Usually, he opts not to talk much at all. Especially when his brothers are around.
Adrian struggles with his vampirism every day, but he usually just internalizes it. When it comes right down to it, he is a ticking time bomb of resentment and anger, most of which is aimed toward his brothers.
He is the peaceful one and doesn't believe in war or bloodshed. Even with these facts, he will not hesitate to step in and help any one of his brothers. Or anyone that needed assistance, for that matter.
Adrian loves to read and can usually be found lounging under a tree or somewhere equally cozy with a good book.
Strengths:Adrian is a thinker. He often uses his quick mind to avoid things that he doesn't want to deal with. He has already developed his mental powers to where they are a near match for Daxton's.
You can always trust him to have calming words or an answer to a tough question quickly. He has a tender and helpful sould and particularly enjoys giving advice when it is needed. He is steadfast and loyal and quick to put others before himself.
Weaknesses: Adrian is not as physically strong as his brothers or other vampires, having spent more time on his mental prowess than his physical. He is generally an inept fighter- except when under extreme stress and acting on instinct.
He tends to worry about making the right decisions at times. Sometimes he takes so long to make a decision that it becomes moot. However, his resolve is steadfast when he finally makes a decision.
Being a vampire with his particular morals, Adrian often wars with himself over whether or not what he is doing is right. Example; he has to eat to live, but he can't stand killing.
He tries to reason with lycans when meets them, and this tends to lead to him getting himself into trouble. Any time he is about to get into a fight, he tends to try to talk his way out of it... And all he can usually bring himself to do is defend himself. As such, he occasionally comes home having suffered a severe beating.
Physical Description:
-Hair: Light brown
-Eyes: Black, but he makes them look his natural blue with his mental powers.
-Skin tone: Pale
-Weight: 163lbs
-Height: 5' 11"
Family: Nikolas Bloodan-Older brother
Vince Bloodan-Nephew
Daxton Bloodan- Older brother
Terris Bloodan- Younger brother
Background Information: Adrian was always the quietest of his siblings. He never spoke without giving his words a lot of thought. For the longest time, people thought that he was dumb, when really it was just that he weighed everything heavily in his mind.
Being as how there were no girls in the Peterson family, the task of helping their mother often fell to him. He did not mind this, for he preferred it to breaking his back in the fields.
When Nicholas disappeared, however, he had to do more of his own share in the fields. Too often, his father would catch him dreaming instead of working. Because of this, he was often in trouble.
The day that Daxton disappeared was like the end of the world for him. He no longer had time to help his mother or dream of anything. He worked day in and day out like a dog. The apparaent deaths of his older brothers had broken the spirit of the Peterson family.
When he was seventeen, there was a girl that he fancied. Sadly, she was far more attracted to men who were more like his older brothers. Besides that, no man wanted a 'useless lump like him' to marry their daughters. It came as a great disappointment to his parents.
By the time that Nikolas and Daxton came to get him, he was seriously considering ending it all. He didn't know if he was going to run away or jut kill himself, but he wanted it all to be over. The pressure was just too much, and he always found himself being compared to his brothers.
He hadn't even seen them when it happened. One minute he was sitting in the woods near their home. The next.. He was writhing in a pool of his own blood.
Since that day, he is still not sure if he is thankful for what they did or if he resents it.
He found himself returning many times to watch his family weep. Every time he wished taht he could just burst through the door and say "Mother! I'm here!" But he knew that she would never accept him with him being what he was.
After Terris returned, while his brothers were saving him from being buried, he went to see Phoebe one last time... She saw him standing in the shadows. Even knowing what he was, she went off on him about how he was a monster. How he had been useless in life and how now he was a filthy creature...
He had been starving himself for days, and his willpower was weak. He lost control... She had been married and was the mother of two beautiful boys, but he still killed her. Though he no longer thinks he loves her, he has never forgiven himself for what he did. He feels that, if any forgiveness is to be had, it must come from a source outside of himself.
After that, he did not return to the village ever again.
The years shaped him into even more of what he already was. He learned to read. He studied philosophy and language. In his Unlife, he found his calling... And his place in the family as the "black sheep."
Watching war gave him a broader sense of what was going on around him. As a result, he yearns for peace. Not a day goes by that he does not try to convince Nikolas that peace is the only way.
Additional Information: Adrian does his best to teach Vince the goodness in the other races, hoping he doesn't end up as his father. He tends to "poison" his mind about why he should not continue the war. He prays that the next generation might be able to help him to bring about peace.
